Mai is one of the best Ninja's of the somewhat small (but very powerful) Shiranui Ninja Clan. Although a very talented fighter, her real power is her (super?)natural charm & good looks, which she uses to her advantage at every occasion. She is extremely upbeat and often downright silly, which causes several of her oponents to underestimate her. I can't exactly say whether this is an act or not, but I can say that she is fairly bright, & definately uses this to her advantage in the ring. Her outfit is designed to show ALOT of skin, which tends to distract her opponents. Mai is also dating Andy Bogard. Why exactly I'm not sure, but my guess is that he is one of the few men she's ever met who didn't start drooling the second he met her. They have a very interesting relationship, Andy prefering to be the quiet type, lurking around in the shadows, while Mai is a complete socialite, & is always the center of attention.
