Heidern is a cold, calculating Mercanary from the Cold War era, & he can go toe to toe with nearly every world warrior out there. As for his story, my guess is that he is the son of a German military officer, who fled Germany after WWII , and took up residence with other fugative officers in Argentina. If you can buy that, then you can believe that he was raised under a strict miltary code his whole life to be a soldier for a country he never knew, and suddenly, hey, it's pretty believable that he's a baddass Mercanary/Assasin with a code of honor. Every movement he makes has a purpose, and he doesn't mind killing anyone that gets in his way. He does not fight for glory or honor, and only enters the KoF tournaments to stop some 'great evil' from happening. Speaking of which, Heidern is actually extremely honorable, and will keep his word in all situations. However, he is also a dirty fighter inside the ring, and won't hesitate to take advantage of a dizzied opponent. To my knowledge, he is the only really powerful character (other than Ryu) who doesn't suffer from overconfidence, which just makes him cool to in my book. His only real flaw is that he's getting pretty old (early 40s?), & it's really starting to slow him down.
